Health Science Foundation

Health Science Foundations introduces students to the core principles of the healthcare industry and helps them explore the many different career paths available in the medical field. The course covers essential topics like professionalism, communication, and workplace behavior, while also teaching key regulations such as HIPAA (patient privacy) and OSHA (workplace safety). By learning about the wide range of roles in healthcare—from nursing and physical therapy to medical technology and administration—students gain a clear understanding of their options and how to pursue them.

Anatomy and Physiology

The Anatomy and Physiology class at Synergy Magnet helps students understand how the human body works. Through engaging labs and real-life examples, students explore body systems and how they function together. This class is a great starting point for anyone interested in a medical or healthcare career, and it builds the knowledge needed for future success.

EKG Training Course

(NHA EKG Technician Certification)

The EKG Training Course prepares students to become certified EKG Technicians through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Students learn how to perform electrocardiograms, monitor heart activity, and understand basic heart anatomy and rhythms. After completing the course, students can take the NHA certification exam to qualify for jobs in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings.
