Students will explore the world of dance through ballet, modern, and contemporary styles while integrating all aspects of personal wellness within this medium. Taking care of the body and mind is an important part of becoming a successful adult, and the skills taught in this course can be applied in all aspects of life.
Objectives
- Identify & apply various dance techniques to choreographic phrases
- Create original works using dance vocabulary
- Discover aspects of personal body & mental wellness through dance
